Suzuki Program at Monday Music
Any child can be developed, it depends on how you do it.
— Shinichi Suzuki
Why Suzuki
Every Child Can
Every child has the potential to learn and grow. The Suzuki method offers a supportive and encouraging environment tailored to every child's educational journey.
Environmental Influence
Every child learns at their own pace, values each step of their progress, recognizes their efforts, and receives nurturing, honest, and specific feedback.
Alongside private lessons, children engage in regular group ensemble classes and frequent performances, where they learn from and are inspired by their peers.
Early Learning
Just as with language, learning starts at birth. The early years are vital for developing mental processes and muscle coordination. While formal training often begins at four or five, it's never too late to start.
Small-steps & Repetition
The Suzuki repertoire is structured with a logical progression, designed to develop skills through manageable and incremental steps. Suzuki students learn effective practice techniques and strengthen their abilities through consistent repetition.
Aural Training
The Suzuki Method focuses on cultivating musical skills through aural training, where students first learn by listening and imitating music before progressing to reading sheet music.
Suzuki Triangle
The student, parent, and teacher collaborate closely, with the "practice parent" taking on the role of the teacher at home.
As Shinichi Suzuki puts it, “Ability equals knowledge plus 10,000 times.” Collaboration is essential to this process.
