Program overview

Strings Immersion Program is a structured, school-based music program that supports young musicians through an engaging, growth-centered learning environment. Students build technique and musicianship while also exploring creativity through ensemble playing. Along the way, we emphasize social-emotional skills—confidence, focus, empathy, and persistence—so students can succeed in music, in school, and in life.

  • Grades 1–12. 

  • Violin / Viola / Cello for all grades.

  • Double Bass is available for Grade 6 and above (subject to availability and fit).

Schedule

Tuesdays & Thursdays
 

2:30–3:00 PM: Arrival / Snack / Setup
 

3:00–4:00 PM

  • Foundations Group (Beginner): Full ensemble rehearsal

  • Advancing Group (Intermediate): Sectionals / small-group coaching
     

4:00–5:00 PM

  • Advancing Group (Intermediate): Full ensemble rehearsal

  • Foundations Group (Beginner): Sectionals / small-group coaching
     

5:00–5:30 PM: Wrap-Up & Supervised Care — Quiet practice & homework corner  (Flexible pickup)

Students are placed based on playing level and grade. Placement may be reviewed and adjusted throughout the program to ensure appropriate pacing and support.

Tuition

Grades 1–8

  • $80 / week × 38 weeks (Total: $3,040)

  • This includes: classes, materials/handouts, rehearsals, in-school performances, and chances to play at community outreach events.

  • Not included: instrument rental (families rent the instrument separately).
     

Grades 9–12

Financial assistance is available for families who qualify. Email us to learn more about our financial aid application process.

Educational Practice

Our educational practice applies research in real teaching contexts, connecting artistic performance with pedagogical insight to foster deeper learning for teachers and students.

In our classrooms and workshops, students and teachers learn together through active music-making, reflection, and creative exploration, fostering confidence, curiosity, social connection, and lifelong musicianship.

Community Connection

Students learn to use their musicianship to make a positive impact on others and the world.

​

We provide opportunities for community engagement and reflective learning, supporting students as they connect with others and discover their role in the community and society.

Artistic Growth

Students develop confidence, technical skill, and expressive musical ability through comprehensive training and performance opportunities.

They participate in private lessons, group classes, masterclasses, and public performances, guided by professional musicians and experienced educators.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Students develop self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, and teamwork through music education.​

​

Collaborative learning, ensemble playing, and reflective practice provide the experiences that cultivate these skills, which not only enhance their musical growth but also empower them to navigate life with confidence and resilience.

Instrument Information

Students participate in weekly instrumental music instruction as part of the enrichment

program. Tuition covers supervision and program activities.

While students may bring or rent instruments to support home practice and ensemble

participation, the program provides developmentally appropriate enrichment for all participants.

 

Instrument Options by Grade:

• Grades 1–5: Violin, Viola, Cello

• Grades 6–12: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

Renting an Instrument

Families may arrange instrument rental, pickup, or delivery directly with one of the program-

approved vendors listed below.. Alternatively, families may choose to rent through the

program, and we can assist with coordinating delivery when available.

Using a properly sized and well-maintained instrument supports healthy technique

development and effective practice, especially for beginning students.

Instrument rental fees are not included in program tuition.

Families typically arrange rentals directly with a program-approved vendor.

To reduce logistical barriers, the program may offer group rental and coordinated delivery

options with select vendors when available. Families will be notified of any available options

during enrollment

Instrument Sponsorship Program

​

We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent students from participating.

Families for whom the cost of instrument rental presents a hardship may apply for instrument

sponsorship support through the program. Sponsored instruments are limited and prioritized

based on demonstrated need.

 

• A participation agreement is required

• Families assume responsibility for basic care of the instrument during the school year

• Due to limited supply, instrument preference may not always be guaranteed
