As a teacher, Tiancheng has been part of the LyricaFest Chamber Music Festival and worked closely with Professor Terry King at the Longy School of Music. From helping out at the Schiermonnikoog International Festival to being a teaching assistant in schools in Beijing, Tiancheng is passionate about passing on the love for music.
In the orchestra world, Tiancheng holds the role of Associate Principal Cello in the Citizen’s Artist Orchestra in Boston. Imagine leading in ensembles like the Longy School of Music Symphony Orchestra and the Central Conservatory of Music National Youth Symphony Orchestra – that's Tiancheng's world.
Beyond the stage, Tiancheng's cello has traveled internationally, from the LyricaFest Music Festival to the Central Conservatory of Music European Tour. There's more to the story, though – Tiancheng's music has been part of fundraisers for environmental causes in Beijing, adding a meaningful touch to the art.
Currently delving deeper into the world of music as a Master of Performance student at the Longy School of Music of Bard College, Tiancheng's journey started at the Central Conservatory of Music and Wuhan Conservatory of Music. Guided by mentors like Dr. Terry King, the path has been marked with achievements like the Emerging Young Artist Award from Lyrica Boston, showing that for Tiancheng Zeng, music is not just a performance; it's a way to connect, teach, and make a difference.
